Kathmandu city
The City of temples

 

Surrounded by beautiful mountains Shivapuri, Phulchoki, Nagarjun and Chandragiri, this cultural city is capital and main business hub of Nepal. Tourist attractions like Patan city and Bhaktapur city are situated in the south and east of Kathmandu respectively. The only international airport of Nepal Tribhuvan International airport is situated in Kathmandu. So this medieval city of Kathmandu is gateway to Nepal Tourism. Kathmandu hosts seven UNESCO World Heritage Sites within close radius along with countless historical momuments and religious pligrimage sites. Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, Swayambhunath Stupa are some of the prime tourist attractions of the valley. In addition to this, Thamel is the main tourist hub of Kathmandu city, stroll around the city, go shopping. There’s something for everyone.


Bhaktapur city

 

Bhaktapur city is situated about 20km east of capital city Kathmandu. This royal city is also known as City of Devotees', the 'City of Culture', the 'Living Heritage', and 'Nepal's Cultural Gem’. Medieval city of Bhaktapur is the central setting for century’s old architectural monuments and arts that are considered as the world’s most beautiful specimens of its kind. Home to historical temples, monuments and museum, this city has been established as a popular tourist itinerary. Learn the rich history, explore traditional art and architecture and stroll around colorful open market, this city has enough of wonderful stuffs to offer for visitors


Lumbini

 

Approximately 27 hundred years ago Buddha was born in Lumbini, southern west part of Nepal. The holy site of Lumbini has ruins of ancient monasteries, a sacred Bodhi tree, an ancient bathing pond, the Asokan pillar and the Mayadevi temple, where the precise place of birth of Buddha is located. This holy site has been declared as a World Heritage Site by the UNESCO.

 

Manakamana Temple

 

Situated at a height of 1302m overlooking terraced fields and the Trishuli and Marsyangdi river valleys, this temple is sacred shrine of hindu religion. Everyday hundreds of devotees flock for daily ritual and worship. This hilltop temple can be reached by cable car from Kuringhat. Tourists can explore great natural scenery, mesmerizing Himalayan ranges and people worshipping in colorful traditional attire.  From here, you can extend your tour to Gorkha Bazaar, a historical kingdom of Nepal. Gorkha town is incredibly beautiful and rich in history and culture.
