Annapurna Region

Rich in biodiversity and home to some of the highest Himalayans peaks Annapurna region is one of the most popular trekking spots in Nepal. Kali Gandaki Gorge, the Earth's deepest gorge to the east and Dhaularigi peak (8167 meters) to the west. The first and largest conservation area in Nepal, Annapurna Conservation area offers visitors some of the world-class treks for lifetime experience. Annapurna circuit trek, Jomsom - Muktinath trek, Mustang trek are some of the popular treks in Annapurna region. This region is incredibly diverse and culturally rich. It is accessible by both road and air. Nice guesthouse and lodges are available all along the trekking routes. The Conservation area ensures minimum impact of tourism activities to the environment for the betterment and sustainable future of local people and environment.


Best time: Autumn (September - December) and spring (March - May)


Getting there: Pokhara city is the gateway of almost every trek in Annapurna region. 6 hours drive or 25 minutes flight from Kathmandu takes you to Pokhara from Kathmandu.
